Banned Book Week September 26 - October 3


This is the twenty-eighth annual celebration of Banned Book Week and of the freedom to read. Many books have been challenged and pulled from library shelves. The American Library Association has lists and information on books that have been controversial. Some of the books that have been challenged are:

Mark Your Calendar! Halloween Party!

It's not too early to mark your calendar for the Crosby Storytime Halloween Party on October 27th at 10:30 am! We will have lots of good eats and treats!

Hurricane Preparedness Workshop


The library will be hosting A Hurricane Preparedness Workshop: Ask The Experts on Monday, September 28 at 6 pm. We've been without any storms so far this years, so now is the time to get ready. The workshop is presented by the Harris County Homeland Security & Emergency Management office and will provide information on evacuation routes, supplies to have on hand, and to answer questions you might have. Come join us for information. Refreshments will be provided.



Caterpillars Are Roaming the Library!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is munching his way around the library! Don't get eaten! Come to storytime and turn caterpillars into clothespin butterflies! They are beautiful and so much fun to make! Storytime is for children 3-5 and is every Tuesday at 10:30.
