donate blood signThe Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Bloodmobile will be outside the library on Tuesday, March 2, from 10am-1pm.  Remember, you can give blood once every three months.  What's so special about your blood type?  Check out Type Matters, to learn more about how your specific blood type can help others. 

Cy-Fair Closed Today, February 18

Cy-Fair is closed today, Thursday, Feburary 18, for the Lone Star College System Conference Day.  The library will reopen tomorrow for regular hours at 8 AM.

LSC-CyFair President Launches Campus Giving Program

hands givingDr. Audre Levy, LSC-CyFair President, is launching a year-round program to assist families in the Cy-Fair community that cannot afford the basic essentials that many people take for granted, such as soap, toothpaste, and other necessities that cannot be purchased with public assistance funds (Lone Star Card).  This new campus initiative will begin in February when brightly colored bins will be placed in the Student Commons near each entrance to collect shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, and other personal grooming items.

Harris County Libraries Serve as Warming Centers

Residents seeking shelter from the frigid temperatures can head to their local library.  All 25 Harris County branch libraries will open at 9 am on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9 to serve as warming centers for the public. 

Closing hours will vary depending on the branch.

LIFE Workshop - Adorn the Season

Adorn the Season - Patsy Brautigam and Linda Gabrielson will show you how to make a small citrus peel wreath ornament. A joint ALL/LIFE program, Wednesday, December 16, 10-11am, LRNC 131.
