Take a Staycation with our Online Resources

During the summer it can be hard to get to your local library. You might be on vacation in a different state, it might be too hard to get the kids in the car, or it might just be too hot (or rainy) to leave the house.  If that’s the case for you, but you’re still hankering for some entertainment, the library is still the place to help you. We have access to tons of databases and online catalogs on our website that can still help you! Here are just a few of them:

Evelyn Meador Library turns 30!

Evelyn Meador Library turns 30!

The Evelyn Meador Branch Library opened on June 28, 1988, serving the Seabrook community and beyond.
We will hold a birthday party on Thursday, June 28th, 2018 starting at 2:00 pm with Happy the Clown in the Wallach community room.
A birthday cake will be served. Participate in other fun library activities such as button making, snap circuits, crafts, recording your library stories, 3D printing demonstration and more.  The Friends of the Evelyn Meador Library will hold a children’s book sale from 2-5 pm with bargain prices to benefit the library.

The Library is Fun for the Whole Family!

I’m sure you parents out there are thinking about what to do now that your kids are home ALL DAY during the summer! The school year has gotten you used to having a little peace and quiet during the day and now you’ve lost that without a good, legal way of getting it back. Fortunately, the Evelyn Meador Branch Library is here to help, with fun and activities for all ages.

It's-a me, Mario!, I'm-a Luigi, number one!

What an amazing first week we have had so far for the Summer Reading Program. Did you get a chance to come in and meet Orbit? Did you get a chance to play giant games with Greg our Young Adult Specialist? Did you build a box fort? How about the coasters, did you make me one? Really, if you’re not following us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter you’re missing out!

But, then again you are reading my blog so there is that. Are you still paying attention?!?

I HAVE HUGE NEWS!!!!! (Drumroll please!!!!!!)

School is out for summer! The kids are celebrating and the parents are mourning. On the other hand the employees at Evelyn Meador Library are working hard organizing events for everyone (young and old) for the annual summer reading program. Let us help you plan your week:
