Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month which celebrates the many diverse Native American peoples and their cultures.  Please browse our latest display, "Native American Heritage," to find books about the different tribal peoples that are an integral part of the history of our nation.  Check out some of these titles to learn more and share that with friends and family.  Happy Reading!

Rainy Day Reading

We have had some rainy days lately, and the forecast is for more rainy days this coming weekend on Saturday and Sunday (October 31 and November 1).  One thing I like to do at home when it is raining is curl up in a chair with a good book.  How about you?  If that is a favorite rainy day activity for you, then head on out to the library and check out some books to enjoy during the rain days.  Your library has great fiction and nonfiction titles.  And, the library staff can help you find books you are looking for, as well as recommended some interesting titles to read.  See you soon and Happy Reading!

Trick or Treat!

Visit the library for tricks and treats, on Saturday, October 31.  Our staff of witches, and a zombie, whom you may know as the Sanderson sisters and Billy Butcherson, will have goodies to give out, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, while supplies last.  Guests are encouraged to wear their costumes and have their photos taken with one of many monsters that have popped up at the library.  While you’re here, grab a scary story or video to take home and enjoy.
