Back to School Resources

It is just a few more days until school starts and time to attend class!  To help you with some of your school assignments for the coming semester, the library has a new display of school resources such as books about science, math, grammar, and others.  Give yourself a head start on school and read some of the titles on these various subjects, or just read some of them about your favorite topics.

Curious George & Friends

Please join us for Preschool Story Time at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 16, for stories featuring Curious George and other monkey characters.  Along with the stories will be some songs and a Curious  George mask craft.  So, don't "monkey around" and forget to attend!  Happy Reading!

Sharpie Tie-Dye

On Wednesday, August 10 at 2:00 PM is our Sharpie Tie-Dye event in the library's meeting room.  You can create unique designs using permanent Markers and rubbing alcohol.  Please bring a white t-shirt or other item to tie-dye.  Prewashed cotton may be best to use.  See you then!

Summer Reading Program Ends Today

Light Sabers (6)Yes, today is officially the last day of the Summer Reading Program. That means it’s the last day to register (if you haven’t already) and the last day to log your activities and the titles of the books you’ve read since June 6. Take a look at our Flickr photos to see some of the fun we’ve had at the Fairbanks Branch this summer.
