You Go, Grill!

It's just about that time of the year when school lets out for the summer and some people often think about spending an afternoon in the back yard relaxing, firing up the grill and cooking some favorite foods.  If you need some resources for recipes and tips for grilling, then please browse the library's latest display, "You Go, Grill!" on your next visit to the Fairbanks Branch Library.  You want to grill Tex-Mex?  Italian style?  The library has books for these and others, too.  Happy Grilling!

Celebrate Children's Book Week @ Your Library

Did you know that the week of May 12 - May 18, 2014 is the 95th Anniversary of Children's Book Week?  Established in 1919 Children's Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country and celebrates the joy of children's books and reading.  Children's Book Week is a national celebration with literacy events in all of the 50 states and helps instill a lifelong love of reading in children.  Please join in the celebration and visit the library and select some children's books to read and share with family and friends.  Re-read some of your favorite titles or ask the library staff to suggest some of their favorite children's books to read.  Happy Reading!
