Amazing Tool for Readers and Teachers

Novelist PlusIf you’ve never used the NoveList Plus database, you’re missing out on an amazing tool.  The #1 thing that I use NoveList for is to find out the order of books in a series or the order of books written by an author.  Also, when I look up a book I liked in NoveList, it automatically displays book recommendations on the right side of the page.  You can also use the “Read-Alikes” link on the right side of the home page to look up an author and find out which other authors write similar books.  I have also used

Reading the Rainbow of Colors

What is your favorite color?  Do you like to read stories about colors or that have a color in the title of the book?  Then you should browse our display of children's picture books, "Reading the Rainbow."  You will find a large selection of "colorful" titles to read and share.  Happy Reading!

Get Caught Reading Month

Get CaughtMay is “Get Caught Reading Month,” a nationwide campaign supported by the Association of American Publishers to remind people of all ages how much fun it is to read. Remember, home and school aren’t the only places you can read.  You could get caught reading on your lunch break, in the waiting room at the doctor’s or dentist’s office, on a Metro bus, on an airplane or just about any place.  No matter where you read, what your read, or whether you prefer paper, electronic, or audio books, your library has you covered!
