Blind Date with a Book

Huh?  Blind Date with a Book?  Well...yeah.  Check out our new display--Blind Date with a Book--and you will notice some of the books on the display are wrapped in reddish-colored paper with only the book's barcode showing through the paper wrapping.  There is a hint on the front about the content of the book.  So, are you willing to take a chance and check out a book and then see what it is after unwrapping it?  Then visit the library and browse the display (which also includes some books that are not wrapped and you can see the title) and take a blind date with a book.  Happy Reading!

Help with Income Tax Forms!

FormHelp has arrived!  Trained volunteers from AARP are now coming to the library to help people complete their 2012 federal income tax forms.  There are no age or income requirements, they can file returns electronically, and it’s FREE.  The volunteers are in the library meeting room on Saturdays, from 10 am to 2 pm, and on Mondays and Thursdays, from 1 to 5 pm.  They operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointments.  Please bring all of the relevant documents with you.  [Clipart © Jupiter Images]

Heartful Reads @ Your Library

The month of February is starting and that means that Valentine's Day (February 14) will soon be here.  And to help you celebrate Valentine's Day, the library has a new display of children's picture books to check out and share with family and friends.  Please browse the "Heart-ful Reads" display on your next visit to the library and select some titles to read and share.  Happy Reading!
