Sunshine has been on short supply lately and we thought that cleaning up the library windows might help with our winter blues.


The Time Twisting mural has been removed and the library feels so much brighter now! Feel free to come in from the cold and find a sunny spot to sit in with a good book.

If you like to read about unusual events and places, please browse the titles we have in a new display at the library--"The Mysterious & the Unknown".  I bet you can find something to interest you and to enjoy reading about.  If you have an item you want to request, please ask at the circulation desk and we will interlibrary loan it for you.  Happy New Year and Happy Reading!

Tax Forms Delayed

Tax FormsRemember all that talk on the news about Congress voting on whether to continue the “Bush tax cuts” or not?  Well, because the final tax rates were not established until December 17, the printing of the income tax forms and instructions was substantially delayed.  The library staff will put the forms in the front hallway as soon as we can.  In the meantime, they can be printed from the IRS web site.

Fairbanks Closed Due to Power Outage

Fairbanks is closed today, Thursday, December 30 due to a power outage.  All branches are closed Friday, December 31 - Sunday, January 2 for the holiday, so they will reopen on Monday, January 3.
