TGIF Programs Friday Film Series Celebrates African American History Month This Friday!

This Friday @ 10:15 AM - The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series celebrates African American History Month by showing Race (2016), biopic of 1936 Olympian Jesse Owens. This film stars Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, and Eli Goree.

Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM - Senior Adult Trip to George Bush 41 Presidential Library

Senior Adults - If you are at least 55 years old, then we hope you will consider joining us for a day trip on Thursday, March 23 (8:30 AM to 6:00 PM). The Precinct2gether bus will depart from the Freeman Library parking lot. Please plan for plenty of walking and wear comfortable, rubber-soled shoes.

8mm/Super 8 Film Converter Now Available

This guy is an 8mm/Super 8 film to digital converter, now set up in the Jocelyn H. Lee Digital Media Lab and waiting to serve you. After staff receive their training on it shortly, it will be available for you to use free-of-charge with a Lab reservation and completion of a Digital Media Lab orientation class. Children: Join us in celebrating African American Heritage Month today at 4:30 pm

 The Children's Department will be observing African American History Month today at 4:30 pm with a crafts program for children ages 3-12 years old.   We will be making a colorful wreath in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King and a paper weaving craft.  We'll have a tasty snack of potato chips and a graham cracker "traffic signal" inspired by African American inventors.  Additionally, we'll have activity sheets and a variety of books available for checkout.  Tickets are required for this program.  They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program.
