Crafts-to-Go Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library will offer the continuation of the Adult “Crafts- to-Go!” program.  This time, we'll be making a pink bead pin. Our project acknowledges Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.  This project will be available at the Second Floor Information Desk while supplies last.

Gulf Coast Reads @ Freeman

Gulf Coast Reads kicks off today and lasts through October 31st.  This year’s selection is Jonathan Safran Foer’s Extremely Loud and Incredible Close.  There are various programs around the area hosted by branches of Harris County Public Library and other library systems in the area, details of which can be found on the Gulf Coast Reads website. 

under 50 over Movie Day is Tomorrow!

Adults of all ages are invited to come to the under50over Movie Day tomorrow. The title is to be announced. The movie will start at 10:15 am. Movie Day will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library.

Light refreshments are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

College Series Part 3: "College Application Process/Timeline & Financial Aid Process"

Join us Saturday, October 6th at 10 a.m. in the Community Room for part three of our College Series, “The College Application Process/Timeline & Financial Aid Process”.  

Our speaker will be Jolyn Brand, founder of Brand College Consulting.   Ms. Brand has a Master’s Degree in Education and has spent over ten years working with teens.   She will be discussing the college submission and financial aid process, including special circumstances such as student athletes and the decision to take a gap year.  Student timelines for each year of high school will be provided. 

Join us for Baby Playtime on Friday, September 21 at 10 am

  If you are looking for a chance for you and your baby to get out and enjoy the cooler weather, then join us this Friday, September 21 from 10-11:00 am for Baby Playtime.  We'll have fun toys, board books, music, and bubbles.  No tickets are necessary for this program.  Just drop by the Children's Activity Space for a chance to hang out with other parents or caregivers and babies.  This program is recommended for children from infants through 18 months old.
