Ellen Hutto of Saltgrass Science will talk about ladybugs on Monday, May 6 at 4:30 pm.  This program is recommended for children 5-12 years old.  The children will learn about ladybugs and how to spot them in the yard.  Each child will get a few ladybugs to release in their neighborhood.  Space is limited and tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program.

The blocks are back in town...

May is block month around the Children's Department at Freeman Library.  Children are invited to build something with our wooden blocks.  We have a shelf filled with blocks of all shapes and sizes.  They will be out through the month of May.  In June, we will bring back a puppet stage with hand puppets.   Each month we rotate the puppet stage and the blocks.  These two creative outlets have been a great hit at Freeman Library.    They are two of the many fun and educational items made possible through the generous donations of the Friends of Freeman Library.
