Adult Programs This August @ your library Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library invites you to join us for our Adult Programs this August*.  We will continue with TGIF Programs, various book clubs (mystery, great books, two science fiction/fantasy clubs, and YA Book Club for Adults), Freeman Needlecrafters, Adult Crafts to Go, Clear Lake Area Writers (CLAW), and SCORE Counseling.

Registration for the Summer Reading Program (SRP) ends August 10th. So please sign up by then in order to be eligible to win a bookstore gift card or an eReader!

TGIF Programs Presents Fun Film Day This Friday!

The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues this Friday, August 2nd. We look forward to showing a sequel starring Charles Grodin, Bonnie Hunt, and 2 St. Bernard Dogs. The movie will begin at 10:30 AM and it will be shown in the Marge Jacobson Community Room.

United Way Benefits Fair

United Way Bay Area Financial Opportunity Center will be hosting a Benefits Access Fair on Thursday, August 22nd from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.   Free assistance will be provided in applying for services such as food stamps (SNAP), Medicaid and CHIP.  There will also be free information and resources on other health-related services, free employment and financial/education counseling, and much more.

Thursday will be a Happy Day!

    Looking for an opportunity for children and adults to smile and laugh this Thursday?  Happy the Clown will be performing at Freeman Library on Thursday, July 25 at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.  Happy combines magic, music, jokes and an appreciation for books in his program.  This program is recommended for children three years and older.

Tickets are required.  They are free and available from the Children's Department starting 30 minutes before each session.  For more information, please call the Children's Department at 281-488-1906.
