TGIF Programs Summer Film Festival Kick Off - Friday!

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Festival. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2016. All TGIF Programs events are free and no registration is required.

We kick off our Summer Film Festival on Friday, June 3 at 10:15 AM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. We look forward to showing Ocean’s Eleven, the original 1960 film, starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr.

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series Hosts Last #FMCulturalSeries Event on Friday!

In honor of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month the Freeman Library will be showing the 2006 film “The Namesake”, starring Irrfan Khan and Kal Penn. If you missed evening showing of “The Namesake”, please join us for an encore during the TGIF Programs Friday Film Series on May 27 at 10:15 AM. This event will be the final event of the Freeman Cultural Series this month (#FMCulturalSeries)

Teen Summer Volunteer Open House on Saturday, May 21 @ 2 pm

Teens - are you starting to plan what you'll do for summer?  Stop by the Children's Activity Space this Saturday, May 21 at 2:00 pm to find out about what volunteer opportunities we have for teens in the Children's Department.   We'll have a brief talk about volunteer guidelines and then volunteers can put their name down for specific volunteer shifts for the summer.  We'll be open in the room until 3:30 pm to answer your questions about volunteering.  Parents are welcome to attend.

Maker Monday celebrates the red, white and blue this Monday,May 23 at 4:30 pm

On Monday, May 23 at 4:30 pm, children 5-12 years old can make a craft stick American flag to display for upcoming patriotic events.   This program will be the last of the Maker Monday sessions until the new school year in September.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program.   Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their financial support for this program and others throughout the year.
