Freeman Library has a new display in the lobby for the month of May, in fact, thanks to the children of the Regional Library of Pardubice in the Czech Republic and the family of astronaut Drew Feustel, we actually have TWO displays.  The majority of the display is the absolutely beautiful Belgian bobbin lace made by local artisan Keiko Toda.  Ms.

Can You Hear Me Now? - Friday @ your library

Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s Under 50Over Program invites you to join us Friday, May 13th at 10:30 am for a presentation on hearing and hearing aids. Doctors Joel Berman and Caroline Yoon, specialists in Audiology and Board Certified in Head and Neck Surgery will discuss hearing problems and answer questions. The program will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room which can be found on the first floor.

USA LEGO Robotics Camp coming back this summer

                                        

 The United Space Alliance (USA) and The Friends of Freeman Library will be sponsoring two summer sessions of the USA LEGO Robotics Camp for children 7-11 years old.  The sessions run for four weeks.  The first session will be the Saturdays in June (4, 11, 18 and 25) and the second session will be the four Saturdays starting July 16 through August 6.   Campers may choose a session from 1-2:30 pm or 3-4:30 pm.

Estate Planning Advice @ Freeman Library

Join us Wednesday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Marge Jacobson Community Room for a presentation on estate planning by Dean Shearer, board certified estate attorney.  This presentation is part of the retirement planning workshop series offered by MWA Advisors, Inc. with support from NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation.  This is the last session before the summer break, so put it on your calendar now!

Letters of John and Abigail Adams Dramatized

Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library's Under 50Over Program and the University of Houston-Clear Lake invite you to join us Friday May 6th at 10:30 am  for a dramatic reading of “My Beloved Friend: The Letters of Abigail and John Adams.”  It will be presented by Nancy and Walt Hansen and narrated by Betty Crockford.  The program will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room which can be found on the first floor of the building.
