This is local high school student Karan Jerath with a 3D model he designed for his science fair and printed at Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library. This particular design is for the remediation of deep water oil spills. Karan printed this on equipment that is an extension of the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab, a community makerspace we are happy to announce is having its grand opening and open house on Saturday, February 28th, beginning at 10:00 AM. Free March classes, such as basic circuits, soldering, Arduino 101, and machine design are now available for registration. Please join us at the grand opening as we debut this new and exciting space in the library!
The Lee Innovation Lab was made possible by a bequest from late library patron Jocelyn H. Lee as well as many other donors, including the Friends of Freeman Library. See more photos of the Lab and its development at this link.
