Teens Drop Everything & Read @ Freeman!

Yesterday we had a great turnout for a new teen program: Drop Everything and Read Something! Join us once a month and read anything while you enjoy snacks and friendly company.  Meredith and Ash are on hand to help you find something to read and to give recommendations.  Our next Drop Everything and Read Something event will be February 2nd @ 4:30 in the Zone.  See you there!

Teens’ Choice Film Festival

nothing on tv tonightJoin us every Thursday in January at 4:30 pm in the Teen Zone for a Freeman Teens’ Choice Film! Ballots are available in the Teen Zone. Make sure and voice your choice! Each week has a different theme:
January 6 – Chick Flicks
January 13 – Action & Adventure
January 20 – Comedy
January 27 – Science Fiction & Fantasy

Sparkle Icicle Project for January "Adult Crafts to Go!"

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library continues its “Adult-Crafts-to-Go” program starting Tuesday, January 4th. Last month, we made fun foam penguin magnets. In January, people can pick up the "Sparkle Icicle" project. This project can be requested at the second floor Information Desk. This project can be taken anywhere and made anywhere. All materials needed to make the icicle are included, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.

Retirement Education Classes

Have you made a new year's resolution to get your finances in order?  Come check out our upcoming retiirement education seminars presented by Dan Martucci and Christne Walker of MWA Advisors, Inc.   Gain the confidence needed to make informed retirement decisions with less stress. Each class covers a different topic useful to those planning for retirement and those already in retirement. Classes are free, open to the public and for educational purposes only.  We will be meeting at 6:30 p.m.

First "GS Interest Project: Exploration Journeys!" workshop Open

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library introduces the Girl Scout “Interest Project: Exploration Journeys!” program on Monday, January 24th. This particular workshop will feature work towards the “Textile Arts” Interest Project Award, assisting older Girl Scouts in accomplishing certain steps towards the "Textile Arts” Interest Project Award as well as parts of various Girl Scout Journeys. The workshop will begin at 5 pm and will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library. Light refreshments compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.
