#FMCulturalSeries Film Night is Thursday!

Adults - In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month the Freeman Library will be showing the 2006 film The Namesake, starring Irrfan Khan and Kal Penn. If you miss this night, the film will have an encore during the TGIF Programs Friday Film Series on May 27 at 10:15 am.

Celebrate Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month at Freeman Library

Children ages 5-12 years old can celebrate Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month at Freeman Library on Thursday, May 12 at 4:30 pm.  We'll be featuring crafts and foods from Japan.  We'll be making a ninja, creating a Japanese cherry blossom picture, decorating a ceremonial drum, and tasting treats inspired by Japan.  We'll also have books, activities, and music from other Asian-Pacific countries.

Tickets are required for this program.  They are free and available in the Children's Department starting 30 minutes before the program.  Thanks to the Friends of Freeman Library for their generous support for this program and others throughout the year.

Senior Adult Trips Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM!

If you are at least 55 years old, then we hope you will register for a day trip on Thursday, June 09. The Precinct2gether bus will depart from the Freeman Library parking lot.

Tomorrow Evening - Reducing Stress Through Meditation

Adults - Tomorrow at 6:30 PM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room - Join Daya Sharma as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium. He will also present a simple yet powerful meditation technique that can enrich one's life personally, professionally and spiritually.

TGIF Programs Hosting COM 50 Plus Program This Friday Morning!

TGIF Programs will host a presentation by the College of the Mainland (COM) 50 Plus Program this at 10:30 AM. The COM 50 Plus Program offers classes and lectures, as well as a day and extended travel program. This free presentation will require no registration. Refreshments for this presentation will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.
