This Friday, February 19th, we heard Dr. Richard Sparks, D.D.S and Dental Hygienist Tiffany Sparks speak. They talked to us about "Adult Dental Health: From Basic Prevention To Cosmetic Dentistry."
 

This coming Friday, February 26th, we look forward to seeing a movie, title to be announced. The movie starts at 10:15 am. Coffee and snacks are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. "Women through Time" Girl Scout IP:E! Registration

Registration opens this coming Monday!

The next "Girl Scout Interest Project: Exploration!" workshop - "Women through Time" takes place on Monday, March 22nd at 4:30 pm.  We look forward to hearing Meredith Layton, the Young Adult Librarian at Freeman, talk at the "Women through Time" workshop.

On Friday, February 12th, Master Gardener Herman Auer talked about optimal gardening in the Houston area. After his
presentation, Mr. Auer answered numerous questions from the audience.

I am excited to announce that Freeman now has a romance section on the 2nd floor!  After many requests from our romance fans (of which I am one!) we have finally been able to set aside some space to highlight our romance authors.  If you have trouble finding it, please don't be afraid to ask us at the reference desk - we'll be happy to point it out to you.

This Week in Storytime...

Mardi Gras beadsCelebrate Mardi Gras! This week in our Toddler Time and Preschool Storytimes, we will be singing songs in celebration of the classic New Orleans festival! Along with the songs, the kids will make their own Mardi Gras hat using the traditional Mardi Gras colors of green, gold, and purple.
