Children's Programs at Freeman Library

Are you looking for a fun activity for you and your baby, toddler, preschool, or school-age child? If you are, we have programs for children of all ages:

Book Babies - for children aged newborn to 18 months old.  This program on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings at 10:15 am features nursery rhymes, songs, bubbles, and playtime.

Toddler Time - for children 18 months old to 3 years old.  This program on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 11:15 am features a story, songs, fingerplays, and a craft or other activity.

Preschool Storytime - for children 3 years to 5 years old.  This program on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 pm features stories, songs, fingerplays, and a craft or other activity. 

What the Girl Scouts Cooked. . .

On Saturday, September 25th, Girl Scouts donned their chefs' hats in working on the Girl Scout Interest Project Award called "Creative Cooking." This was part of Freeman's "Girl Scout Interest Project: Exploration!" program. The Girl Scouts prepared both Mexican and Taiwanese cuisines.

Let's Go To The Opera

Join us Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. for Ann Thompson's Let's Go To The Opera.  She will preview two operas from Houston Grand Opera's Fall Repertory: Madame Butterfly by Puccini and Peter Grimes by Britten. Girl Scout IP:E! - Photography, Part I

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library is offering the continuation of the Girl Scout “Interest Project: Exploration” program on Monday, November 8th at 4:30 pm. This particular workshop will feature work towards the “Photography” Interest Project Award, helping older Girl Scouts to accomplish some of the steps towards the "Photography" Interest Project Award. The "Photography, Part I" workshop will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room which is on the first floor.

Come join us as Gene McEwen, local dance instructor give a demonstration and tips on dancing.

This presentation happens Friday, October 8th at 10:30 am. This will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library. Please contact the Reference Desk at (281) 488-1906 or visit us on the Second Floor for more information. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of Freeman.
