Baby Playtime returns to Freeman Library this Friday, January 15 @ 10:00 am!

Babies from infants through 18 months old have somewhere to be this Friday, January 15 at 10:00 am!  They and their parent or caregiver are invited to hang out in the Children's Activity Space for Baby Playtime.  This program is held several times a year as a special chance for babies and their adults to spend time together with board books, fun toys, and bubbles.   We also will have an art project for the babies and we will debut a new item for the babies to explore!   No tickets are needed for this program.  A special thanks to the Friends of Freeman Library for their continued support for this program through the fun items we're able to purchase.

Innovation Lab Teen Makes Forbes 30 Under 30 List

Last year, local teen Karan Jerath made use of the Innovation Lab to 3D print a model he designed to address the remediation of deep-water oil spills.  We are happy to report that Karan went on to win the Young Scientist Award and a sizeable cash prize at Intel's International Science and Engineering Fair 2015.  Not only that, Karan recently made Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 List for the Energy Sector.  You can see a photo and description of him on the Forbes website with the model he printed right here in the Lab.  Way to go, Karan!

The Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab is available for you to turn your ideas into realities.  What would you like to make?
