Workforce Solutions Job Search Seminars

Need to brush up your job searching skills?  During the months of June & July Workforce Solutions will be presenting a series of job search seminars in the 1st Floor Community Room.  Topics covered will range from creating a resume to interviewing and networking skills. 

Adult Summer Reading Program

Hey adults, this year's Summer Reading Program (SRP) kicked off on Friday, and our first random drawing for a prize pack provided by the Friends of Freeman Library will be this Friday, June 10th.  To be eligible for this drawing you only have to register for SRP and then keep your fingers crossed that your name is drawn.  Register online or at the library.   

Marsha's Petting Zoo

Get ready to pet some cute animals!  Marsha's Petting Zoo visits Freeman on Tuesday, June 7 from 2:30-4:30 pm.  There will be a goat, deer, rabbits, piglet, mini-donkey and other fun animals. The Petting Zoo will be set up in the parking lot on the Diana Lane side of the library.  We'll have folks line up on the porch and we'll take visitors through in small groups to see the animals.

SRP Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” – Pony Bead Key Chain

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library will offer the continuation of the Adult “Crafts- to-Go!” program on Friday, June 3rd in conjunction with the Summer Reading Program - ReaderNation.  The first project of the summer is a pony bead key chain. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.  The pony bead key chain project will be available at the Second Floor Information Desk while supplies last.

Technology Petting Zoo This Friday @ Your Library

Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s under 50 over Program invites adults of all ages  to join us Friday, June 3rd  at 10:30 am to learn about a variety of state of the art technology including the iPad, eBook Devices, iPods, netbooks, flash-drives and more. Moises Villaseñor, Technology Training Assistant at Freeman Library will demonstrate these items and help you know what they do and how they work. This program will be in the in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. The light refreshments are compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.
