Freeman Teens Read

nut goodieWe always have a great time discussing our favorite books, movies, TV shows, games and music in our Freeman Teens Read club and yesterday was no exception! Check out what Freeman teens recommend:

Clear Lake Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Group

Do you love to read Science Fiction and/or Fantasy books?  The Clear Lake Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Group meets the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.  Come share your favorites with others, and hear what they have to say about the books they've read.  There is no assigned reading for this book club, so no need to stress over not having finished a book.  The next meeting is Thursday, March 4th at 6:30 p.m., and we hope to see you there!

Thank You, Clear Lake Baptist Church!

A big thank you to Clear Lake Baptist Church! The Children’s Department recently received a wonderful donation that enabled us to buy two early literacy computers! The unveiling was held last week on February 16, 2010, to a host of Clear Lake Baptist Church members, Harris County Public Library representatives, and many eager kids. The HATCH early literacy computers are aimed at preschoolers and act as a tool to enhance knowledge on colors, letters, numbers, and stories. Come check them out in the Children’s Department! Until then, here are just a few pictures from the event.
