Registration Open for Knitting 101

Knitting 101: Beginning Knitting Class

February 3, February 10, February 17, February 24

Join us in the Children’s Department for Knitting 101: Beginning Knitting Class. Knitting 101 is a youth program that introduces and teaches basic knitting techniques. Participants will complete a project in a four week session starting on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Supplies are provided by Friends of Freeman. Registration is required! Register online through the Events Calendar. The class is limited to 20 participants. Suggested grades: 3rd Grade and Up. Contact us at 281-488-1906 if there are any questions.

Retirement Planning Classes

Start 2010 off right by planning for your retirement.  MWA Advisors, Inc. in partnership with NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation will be presenting a series of retirement education classes at Freeman Library Wednesdays, January 13th, 20th & 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the Marge Jacobson Community Room.  Class topics are, "Retirement Planning and Your Emotional Well Being", "Investment Management for Retirement Income" and "Retirement Accounts, Pensions & Annuities".  Registration is encouraged but not required, and can be done either online or by calling the library at (281)488-1906.
