Mardi Gras fun at Freeman Library on Thursday, February 23 @ 4:30 pm

     The Children's Department will be having a crafts program on Thursday, February 23 @ 4:30 pm to make Mardi Gras masks and a festive Mardi Gras wreath to get ready for the Mardi Gras parades this weekend.  In addition to the crafts, children will get a treat of chocolate doubloons and a pair of beads and there will be some fun activity sheets.   This program is recommended for children 3-12 years old.  Tickets are required.  They are free and given out 30 minutes before the program.

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series Celebrates African American History Month This Friday!

This Friday @ 10:15 AM - The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series celebrates African American History Month by showing Race (2016), biopic of 1936 Olympian Jesse Owens. This film stars Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, and Eli Goree.

Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM - Senior Adult Trip to George Bush 41 Presidential Library

Senior Adults - If you are at least 55 years old, then we hope you will consider joining us for a day trip on Thursday, March 23 (8:30 AM to 6:00 PM). The Precinct2gether bus will depart from the Freeman Library parking lot. Please plan for plenty of walking and wear comfortable, rubber-soled shoes.

8mm/Super 8 Film Converter Now Available

This guy is an 8mm/Super 8 film to digital converter, now set up in the Jocelyn H. Lee Digital Media Lab and waiting to serve you. After staff receive their training on it shortly, it will be available for you to use free-of-charge with a Lab reservation and completion of a Digital Media Lab orientation class.
