Adults - Friday, 4/20 @ 10:30 AM - TGIF Programs Hosts Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Adults - please join us Friday, April 20 at 10:30 AM for a presentation by Trond Saeverud, Maestro of the Galveston Symphony Orchestra, of Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). This OLLI, based in UTMB, is a continuing education program offering older adults a grade-free opportunity to discover a variety of subjects and disciplines.

Adults - Friday, 4/13 @ 10:30 AM - Fab Food Demo!

Adults - please join TGIF Programs on Friday, April 13 at 10:30 AM for the "Fab Food Demo" event. Freeman staff will show the audience how to make delicious dishes. After the demo, attendees will be able to enjoy the prepared food.

This free event will require no registration. The refreshments prepared in this event will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Pajama Storytime on Thursday, April 12 @ 6:00 pm

Looking for some family fun on Thursday night?   Join us for Pajama Storytime on Thursday, April 12 at 6:00 pm.   This program is recommended for all ages.   It features stories, songs, and fingerplays and a craft.   Chilldren are welcome to wear pajamas, sllippers, and bring a bllanket or stuffed animal.   Tickets will be given out at 5:30 pm.   Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their generous support for craft supplies.

Tween Afternoon Art Program on Wednesday, April 11 @ 4:30 pm

Tweens 8-12 years old can learn about art history when they attend Tween Afternoon Art on Wednesday, April 11 at 4:30 pm.  Tweens will learn about the Fauvist Movement in art and then do an art project inspired by the movement.   Tickets will be given out at the Kids Information Desk at  4:00 pm.   This art history program continues on Wednesdays - April 18 (Cubism) and April 25 (Expressionism) at 4:30 pm.   Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program with art supplies.

Family Storytime this Saturday, April 7 @ 11:00 am

Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday morning?  Join us for Family Storytime at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 7.   We'll have stories, songs,and fingerplays.  This program is recommended for the whole family.   No tickets are needed for this program.  We meet in the Children's Department in the seating area near the clock.
