Bi-Lingual Chinese/English Storytime moves to a new time this Monday, April 3 to 6 pm

The Bi-Lingual Chinese/English Storytime is moving to 6 pm on this Monday, April 3.  This fun storytime features stories, songs, and fingerplays in Chinese and English.  It also features a craft and the end of the program.  This program is recommended for children 3 yrs. and older.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available 30 minutes before the program.

Join us for Family Storytime on Saturday, April 1 @ 11:00 am

Join us this Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 am for Family Storytime.  This fun program features stories and fingerplays.   It is held on the first and third Saturdays of the month.  This Saturday, we'll have some stories about ocean animals.   No tickets are needed for this program.  It lasts about 30 minutes and meets in the Children's Department.

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series - This Friday!

Adults - The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues Friday @ 10:15 AM. We look forward to showing An American in Paris, the 1951 musical starring Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, and Oscar Levant.

All TGIF Programs events are free and no registration is required. Refreshments for all TGIF Programs events are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. Jocelyn H. Lee to Receive TLA's Benefactor's Award

The generosity of late library patron Jocelyn H. Lee will be honored at this year's Texas Library Association Annual Conference, where he will be posthumously awarded the Benefactor's Award. Mr. Lee's bequest to the Freeman Library has made possible the Innovation Lab, the Digital Media Lab, additions to our collection, updated furnishings, and special programs. We remain grateful to Mr. Lee for the gift he extended to the library community and are pleased to know he will be honored in this special way.

Houston Firefighters visit Freeman Library on Friday, March 24 @ 10:00 am

  Firefighters from the Houston Fire Department will visit Freeman Library with their amazing trucks on this Friday, March 24 at 10:00 am.  This fun program allows children to see the trucks up close and even play with the fire hoses.  No tickets are needed for this program that will be on the Diana Lane side of the library.   Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Freeman Library, we will have free firefighter hats for the children.
