Adults, Monday, 7/2 @ 6:30 PM - Summer Reading Program - Rockin' Food Demo!

Adults, please join us on Monday, July 2 at 6:30 PM as Freeman Staff host our "Rockin' Food Demo." Staff will make nachos with all of your favorite ingredients (chips, cheese sauce, taco meat, green onions, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, etc). After the demo, attendees will be able to enjoy the nachos.

This free event will require no registration. The refreshments prepared in this event will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Friday, 6/1 @ 10:15 AM - TGIF Programs - Summer Film Fest Event #1

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2018. This free event requires no registration.

On Friday, June 1 at 10:15 AM, we will kick off the Summer Film Fest with a 1949 musical comedy about 3 sailors on a day of shore leave in New York City look for fun and romance before their twenty-four hours are up. This unrated film which stars Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Betty Garrett, lasts 98 minutes.

Texas Snakes and More visits Freeman Library on Thursday, June 21 @ 2:30 & 3:30 pm

   Psst!  There's a snake in the library....Texas Snakes and More brings a host of snakes and more to Freeman Library on Thursday, June 21 at 2:30 and 3:30 pm.    This program is recommended for children 5 years and older.  Children will learn about the snakes and then get to touch them!  Tickets are required.  They are free and available starting 30 minutes before each session.  This program always draws a number of snake enthusiasts, so we recommend that children and their grown-up arrive early around 20 minutes before the tickets are given out.   Due to space limitations, only one adult will be admitted per child.  Also, no strollers will be admited to the program.   Thank you to the Friends of Freeman for their generous support of this program.

Magician Mick Corley visits Freeman Library on Thursday, June 14 @ 2:30 & 3:30 pm

  Magician Mick Corley brings his magic, mime, and puppets to Freeman on Thursday, June 14 at 2:30 and 3:30 pm.  Mick will have children rolling in the aisle with laughter with his magic tricks and humor.  He also shows childen the importance of the summer reading program. 

 This program is recommended for children 5 years and older.   Tickets are required.  They are free and given out 30 minutes before each session.  Due to space limitations only one adult will be admintted per child and strollers will not be admitted to the performance area.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their generous support of this program.

Adults - Stop By & Pick Up Your June Crafts-To-Go Kit!

Adults - stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. This month, we'll be making beaded key rings (see picture). This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last.
