Teens: Can't Make it Comic-Con? Come to ATAcon!

Can't make it to Comic-Con in San Diego? Get your fandom on at the Atascocita Branch Library's first convention, ATAcon. We have 5 days full of programming including a VIP party. 

Need a Hogwarts House Scarf? Learn how to crochet with Camp Stitch-a-Lot: Fandom Crochet from July 6-12th at 2pm.Pick from several designs including Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Minecraft. This program is open to tweens and teens between the ages of 10-18 years old. Attendance is required all five days. Registration is available at the front desk. .

Monday, June 29th @ 7 pm. Come see the Alpha & Omega Mounted Patrol!

Come have some Twilight fun @ the library! Meet the Alpha & Omega Mounted Patrol, and learn how these superheroes keep our community safe! This is an outdoor event so don't forget your sunscreen, cameras, and insect repellent.

Teens: Man-Eating Plants and Monopoly

This week, you can learn about the world of carnivorous plants and play a game of giant Monopoly! On Wednesday, June 24th at 3pm, join Michael and Stephanie Howlett for a class on raising "man-eating" (aka carnivorous) plants. Supplies are limited to 25. This program is for teens and tweens ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12.

On Thursday, June 25th at 6:30pm, get your game on with Live Action Monopoly.

Teens: From Crepes to Coding @ the Library

On Wednesday, June 17th at 3pm, join us for Cotton Candy, Crepes and Confections. As seen on TV! You’ve seen it on TV and the internet, now see if it works. We’ll be making cotton candy, crepes, dipped chocolates, and more! Make it and eat it!  (Click on article for more)

On Thursday, June 18th at 3pm, use basic code to make your Lego creation move! No coding skills, no problem. This program will teach you the basics of coding. Are you a Code Monkey? Use your skills to dazzle your friends in this program.

 These programs are for teens and tweens ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12.
