The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman and the University of Houston-Clear Lake (CLASP) invite you to join us Friday, February 3rd at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. William Powers, Ph. D., of UHCL, will present “Dinosaurs to Diesel: Oil and Its Implications. ”

Adult Crafts-to-Go! Celebrates Black History Month

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” program is kicking off the Black History Month celebration on February 1st.  Our project this month is a Quilt Square Magnet. On the back of the instructions, you can read about the Underground Railroad Quilt Code. The Quilt Square Magnet project can be made anywhere. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library, while supplies last.

February Adult Programs @ Your Library

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library looks forward to its February Programs*.  This includes the under50over, Book Clubs, Crafts-to-Go, Freeman Needlecrafters, MWA Advisors, and various celebrations of Black History Month. All programming is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library.

February Programs in the Children's Department

February is the shortest month of the year, but it certainly is packed with holidays and special events!  The Children's Department will have several fun craft and music programs in February to celebrate Black History Month, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

We kick off the first week (1/30-2/2) with the theme of "Favorite Stories" for all our storytimes.  We'll have fun with a parachute at the end of the program. 

Friday is Movie Day @ Your Library!

Adults of all ages are invited to come to the under50over Movie Day this Friday. The title is to be announced and the movie will start at 10:15 am. Movie Day will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library.
