Saturday Movie, July 13 at 2 pm

This weekend, beat the heat or the rain or both! and join us in the meeting room for our Saturday movie "Space Cowboys".  This action adventure comedy stars Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, and James Garner as aging ex-pilots enlisted by NASA to prevent a Soviet satellite from crashing into Earth.   "Space Cowboys" not only has a great cast, much of it was filmed on location at Space Center Houston.  

Rated PG13.

This program is free and open to the public.


After Hours Star Party Tuesday July 16 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Crosby Branch Library and the North Houston Astronomy Club invite you to an After Hours Star Party!  Join us on Tuesday July 16 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.  Learn about the spaceflight and then view the full moon outside through a telescope.  Can you find the Sea of Tranquility?  What else can you find in the night sky?  This program is for all ages and there will be something for everyone!  For more information, please call the library at 832-927-7790.

Free Lunch @ the Library!

Did you know children 18 years of age and under eat lunch free at the library?  In partnership with the Houston Food Bank, Crosby Branch Library invites children, accompanied by their caregiver, to Kids' Cafe!  Enjoy a free healthy lunch in the  library's meeting room.  This program runs from June 4 through August 9, Monday through Friday, 12 noon to 1 pm.

Crosby Book Club Meets Friday, June 21 @ 2 pm

Crosby Book Club meets Friday, June 21 at 2 pm to discuss The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, by Taylor Jenkins Reid.  Although she is world famous, very few people know the real Evelyn Hugo.  Finally the aging Hollywood starlet is ready to reveal every scandalous detail of her life ... but why now?  And why does she hire a complete stranger, rookie magazine reporter Monique Grant, of all people, to write her authorized biography?
