Book Club Meets Friday, December 7 at 2 pm

Please join us on Friday, December 7, at 2 pm for a discussion of Mr. Dickens and His Carol, by Samantha Silva.  In this work of fiction, we are transported back in time to Victorian England, where Charles Dickens has numerous reasons for not quite feeling the Christmas spirit.  Bah, humbug!  Full of references to true events in Dickens' life and the characters he created, Silva's debut is an interesting re-imagining of how A Christmas Carol, one of the most popular books of the holiday season, was written.

Adult Craft, Holiday Pomanders, Wednesday, December 12 at 11 am

Let's get together for a holiday craft!  Please join us in the meeting room on Wednesday, December 12 at 11 am to create a fragrant pomander with an orange and cloves.  This program is free and open to adults.  Registration is required.  For more information, contact the library at 832-927-7790.

Fantastic Beasts in the Library

Just in time for the November 16th release of "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald", Harry Potter fans, magizoologists, wizards, witches, and muggles alike are invited to test their skill in a Fantastic Beasts scavenger hunt.  Can you find the beasts hiding inside Crosby Branch Library?  When you find one, bring it to the front desk and get entered in a prize drawing.  There are 21 beasts in all, and the more you find, the more entries you earn.  Winners will be selected by random drawing on Monday, December 3rd.  For more information, visit us at the library or call 832-927-7790.  Good luck!
