Coming SoonThe Friends of the Library will be having a book sale on Saturday, June 6, from 10:00-3:00.  Start stashing your cash so you can buy lots of great stuff!  All proceeds benefit the Fairbanks Library and help provide funding for library programs and materials.  If you are interested in helping set up the sale on Friday afternoon please leave your name and phone number with the staff.

Celebrating Mother's Day

During the month of May is a very important celebration--Mother's Day on May 10!  If you would like to read some children's picture books celebrating Moms, please browse our new display--"Celebrating Mother's Day."  Select some titles to check out and share with friends and family.  Happy Reading!

Books into Movies?

Is a movie based on a book just as good as the book or better?  I have had many of our Fairbanks Branch customers tell me that most of the time the movie just does not live up to the quality of the book.  However, there are a few instances where they think the movie does justice to the book, and there are the rare occasions where the movie is better than the book.  Some of the books that have been made into movies are now in our latest display, "B
