Summer Reading Calendar

Bedtime Story Time

Time to relax and listen to some bedtime stories!  Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite Teddy Bear or other toy to our Bedtime Story Time at 6:30 pm on Monday, July 25.  We'll share some stories and a craft, plus some milk and a snack.  So treat yourself and join us then.  Happy Reading!

TAG, You’re It!

If you've been enjoying the awesome activities at the library this summer, now is your chance to get involved.  If you will be between grades 6-12 this fall, you can apply to join the Fairbanks Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG).  TAG members help to plan, prepare, and present teen programs.  You’ll earn volunteer hours, meet new people, develop leadership skills, work as a team, and attend fun programs.  Members will need to be available to attend monthly meetings, and when possible, attend programs to help set up and clean up.  The final meeting of the summer is Friday, August 5, at 3:00 PM, in the library meeting room, following the teen movie screening.  Just print the application below, or pick one up at the library, and don't forget to get it signed.  See you there!

Suncatcher Jellyfish Kids Craft

Want to have a jellyfish that will not sting you?  Then join us for the Suncatcher Jellyfish Kids Craft on Thursday, July 21 at 10:30AM in the library meeting room.  We will have all the materials you need, so all you need to bring is yourself and join in the fun.  Circle the day on your calendar and see you then!  Happy Reading!

Introduction to Essential Oils

Essential oilsYou’ve probably heard people talk about “essential oils.” Do you wonder what they are and what they’re good for? Come to the Fairbanks Library on Monday night, July 25, at 7:00 pm to find out. The presenters of this free adult program will also tell you the origins and ancient uses of essential oils, how they are distilled and the potential health benefits of using them. Error on Printed Calendar

computers_6Our bright yellow, printed calendar of summer events contains an error. The Introduction to Coding (computer programming) class for school-age kids is on the printed calendar as this Saturday, July 16. It is actually Saturday, July 23, at 2:00 pm. Registration is required and space is limited. We apologize for the mistake.
