Did you know that the National Museum of Funeral History is located in Houston? In addition to the exhibits they have everyday, the museum has some great events for Halloween. Their annual Haunted House is open every day and runs until November 2nd. It is rated PG-13, and is sure to "scare you to death!" On October 22, they will have a Halloween themed classic car show. These events are sure to be a great time and I can't wait to get out there and check it out!

The Katy Library is one of the oldest in Harris County, started by the Katy Garden Club and housed in private homes in 1921. It later shared space in a grocery and furniture store and then took over the old Katy Fire Department building on 2nd Avenue. When first opened the library only offered 12 hours of service per week. Today, it is open 40 hours a week. The Friends of the Katy Library were organized in 1973 and still play an active role in the library today.
Construction began in 2002 on the current Franz Road location. The grand opening was on Sunday, April 27, 2003. The library reopened for regular business on Monday, April 28, 2003.
