December 2015 & January 2016 Fun4Seniors Trips departing from Kingwood Branch Library

Harris County Precinct 4's Senior Adult Program is offering the following Fun4Seniors Excursion Trips for library customers in December 2015 and January 2016. Participating is simple. Participants must be 50 years and older and must register for trips by calling 281-893-3726. All trips depart from and return to Kingwood Branch Library located at 4400 Bens View Lane, Kingwood TX 77339. Transportation is free and lunch is on your own. Some destinations require an admission fee.

Saturday, December 5, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM: Dickens on the Strand, Galveston. Enjoy this annual holiday street festival, based on 19th century Victorian London, featuring parades, nonstop entertainment, and more. The cost is $10 per person and food may be purchased on your own at the festival.

HMNS presents Native Americans - Thursday @ 4pm

HMNSJoin us Thursday, November 19th, at 4:00pm in the Children's Activity Room for a special program.  The Houston Museum of Natural Science will be here to do a presentation about Native Americans.  Discover the inventive and resourceful lifestyles of North America’s earliest human residents!

KSAP Friday Morning Movie!! - Nov. 20th

Meet up with friends to watch one of "Hollywood's best movie of all time." Starring Humprey Bogart, Ingred Bergman, and Paul Henreid.  "Atop the Nazis' most-wanted list is Czech Resistance leader Victor Laszlo whose only hope is Rick Blaine, a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one.. especially Victor's wife IIsa, the ex-lover who broke his heart." This movie is the winner of three Academy Awards. Light refreshments are sponsored by Kroger's and F.O.L.K. (Friends of the Library Kingwood)

Caldecott Book Club Thursday @ 4pm

BooksJoin us for Caldecott Book Club every Thursday at 4:00pm in the Children's Activity Room.  The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.  Each week we will read a Caldecott Award Winner or Caldecott Honor book and recreate the art that made these books famous!
