Teen Textiles is Back!

Teens can learn how to sew with Creativity Shell. At 4:15 PM, on Wednesdays, from September 28 through December 14, teens can learn how to use a sewing machine and work on their own project! This class is for beginners.

Permission slips AND registration are required. Register once for the semester; the deadline to register is September 28. The class is limited to 18 students. For teens and tweens grades 6-12 only. Call 281-360-6804 to register.

KSAP: Free Line Dance Lessons - Tues. 9/20/16 @ 10 AM

Line dancing for Adults!   Volunteers from the Kingwood Community Center will demonstrate basic steps for the beginners in line dancing.   Join us and other line dancers on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10 a.m.  This activity is open to all adults.

All Kingwood Senior Adult Programs events are free and no registration is required. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of Library Kingwood (FOLK). Please contact the Kingwood Branch Library at 281-360-6804 for further information.

3d printingSchool is back in session and so are our standard young adult programs in addition to a few special ones. Listed below are upcoming activities for teens for September 2016.

New Citizenship course begins Saturday, September 10th through November 12th; register by 9/17

United States FlagBeginning Saturday, September 10th, Kingwood Branch Library is offering a 10-week course on preparing for the United States Citizenship exam. Individuals must be able commit to the all sessions as the courses follow instruction and lesson plans. Individuals must begin and commit to the following classes beginning September 17th.

All classes will meet on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM through November 12th in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. Classes are taught in English; study materials are provided by HCPL. Participation is free; registration is required as space and supplies are limited. Please note this course does not grant citizenship and does not cover the cost of the exam.
