Butterfly gardening

Learn about the beautiful flowers and plants you can have in your yard that will bring beautiful butterflies! Annie Britton, Harris County Master Gardener with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will talk about varieties of plants that butterflies like and how to plant them on Saturday, October 8 at 10:30 a.m. Please register by calling the library or by clicking on the event on our calendar.

Community Craft – Hispanic Heritage Celebration September 23rd @ 3-5 PM [6+]

 

Please join us at the Parker Williams Branch in our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 23rd from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Library Community Room by creating colorful tissue flowers and painting some Spanish patterned tiles.

Citizenship application help available here on September 21

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is coming up. Thinking about applying to become a citizen? BIA accredited representatives of Boat People SOS will be at the library on Wednesday, September 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. to provide free help in submitting applications. Drop by the library beforehand to pick up a questionnaire and checklist so that you know what to bring with you. Registration is required.
