[2]People across greater Houston are reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, [2]by Jonathan Safran Foer. This acclaimed novel is the 2012 choice for Gulf Coast Reads, [3] a series of programs aiming to get Houstonians on the same page for enlightening discussions of a single book.
Baldwin Boettcher Branch will host a discussion of the novel on Monday, October 1, at 6:30 pm; a screening of the movie [4] on Saturday, October 13, at 1:00 pm (with discussion to follow); and a food drive -- this relates to the book's theme -- the week of October 15 - 20. We hope you will join us!
Copies of the book are currently available at the library. For more information about the programs, please call 281-821-1320.
