No one has a mastery of all things financially-related that can affect us during our lives. In recognition of this fact, Houston Money Week, scheduled this year from April 6 through April 13, provides practical information sessions on topics such as credit, banking, investing, homeownership, starting a business, saving for college, and numerous others.
Join Christopher Hensley, president of the local chapter of the Society for Financial Awareness, at the Parker Williams Branch Library on Saturday, April 13 for a special Houston Money Week presentation. At 1 p.m., begin “Getting Fiscally Fit” in terms of paying down debts and beginning to build wealth. At 2 p.m. join Hensley to discuss College Planning and tips on financial aid, investment alternatives such as the Educational IRA, and other strategies for preparing for the costs involved. The workshops are free and open to public but you can register in advance by calling 281-484-2036.
