On Monday, June 3rd at 2:00 pm the Barbara Bush Branch Library will host the first installment of its International Exploration series. Come and hear Japan-America Society of Houston representative, Taka Tsuruta, as he takes you on a journey to Japan without ever having to leave your seat.
In addition to the PowerPoint presentation, he will do a Yukata try-on and an Origami craft. Yukata is a kind of Japanese traditional clothes which is casual and suitable to wear in summer, and is popular again nowadays for young women who are dating. Participants will also learn to make an Origami Samurai helmet.
