Last week's Latin Dance Demonstration was a success - check out my attempt at merengue with coworker Nancy Rodriguez! I didn't fall down and consider that a great success. Gene McEwen and Kelly Felix explained the history of several types of Latin dance. They followed up with demonstrations of the dances, accompanied by two couples who are students of Kelly's. We also enjoyed chips, salsa and iced tea provided by the Friends of Freeman Library along with sopapillas provided by Casa Olé!
Hispanic Heritage Month lasts until October 15th, and we still have the Craft-to-Go for Adults available at the 2nd floor reference desk, so stop by and pick one up! As always keep an eye on our events calendar and our Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch page for more library programs.
