I can't believe it's October already. It seems as if just yesterday we finished the Summer Reading Club here at Lone Star College-CyFair Library. The fall has certainly been hopping with activity and a visit has more to offer than ever.
First, we have a new storytime running this fall. It's our Multicultural Storytime for all ages on Tuesdays at 1:30pm. This is a cooperative program with students from the English as a Second Language Class here on campus. The students are getting a wonderful opportunity to practice their English and the children get a wonderful storytime that introduces many cultures.
Second we are gearing up for the 5th annual Cy-Fest celebration this Saturday, October 10th from 10am -2pm. The entire campus will be buzzing with food, games, crafts and activities for the whole family. Come down and join us for this fun day.
And last but not least, a reminder to anyone visiting our library this fall that parking is at a premium. With record numbers of students enrolled and the library being more popular than ever, it's very difficult to find a parking space on campus. An overflow lot has been created on the South Parking Lot (near the library and West Road) for additional parking spaces. We highly recommend planning for extra time when coming to library programs in order to give yourself time to park.
