Join me on Tuesday afternoons @ 4:30pm in the Children's Activity room for a gentle and relaxing yoga practice!! We'll start out nice and easy, learning the basic movements and breathing techniques of yoga, as we strenghten our minds and bodies. This is not designed to be an exercise class or weight loss program. I'm focusing on enjoying yoga as a relaxing and stress-free afterschool program. Yoga is great for unwinding after a long day, stretching tired muscles and relaxing the mind.
When it comes to clothing, comfort is important. You will want to wear a shirt and pants that are comfortable and a bit loose fitting, as yoga requires a lot of stretching and flexibility. Please dress modestly. You should also wear socks to help you get a good grip on the floor. If you have a yoga mat or any other yoga props, bring them with you. If not, don't worry about it. If you have longer hair, you might want to pull it back to keep it out of your face.
Most importantly, remember to have fun. All teens and tweens between the ages of 10-18 are welcome. College-age students are also welcome to join us :) Namaste!
