I love thrillers--they're easy, undemanding, page-turning, satisfying reading after a long day. But occasionally I need a change. This year I've challenged myself to include some different genres, some I've been reluctant to read. To my surprise I've encountered delightful books and discovered that, what I really want in a story is not just one type of plot, but rather, something entertaining that's well written.
We librarians are challenging our Tomball adult readers to "read outside your box" this summer. We've made up bookmarks with some title suggestions in a number of genres. They are hanging along the shelf-ends in our Adult Fiction department and upstairs in Non-Fiction and Biographies. Happy summer!
