The USA LEGO Robotics Camp returns to Freeman Library in October. This free camp is designed for children 7-11 years old. It is sponsored by United Space Alliance (USA) and the Friends of Freeman Library. The camp will be held Saturdays October 1, 8, 15, and 22. There are two sessions of the camp each week: 1-2:30 pm or 3-4:30 pm.
The children work in pairs or small groups to put together LEGO projects using a program on a laptop. They learn robotics, mathematics, and engineering concepts as well as values such as sharing and cooperation.
Due to limited space, there will be a drawing for the camp spots. Registration for the drawing begins today - Saturday, September 10, and runs through Saturday, September 17. Parents or caregivers may fill out an a registration form for drawing at the Kids Information Desk. The parents of the children whose names were drawn will be notified by email or phone by Friday, September 23. For questions, please contact the Children's Department at 281-488-1906.
