[2]Did you know that Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 - October 15? Originally designated Hispanic Heritage Week by Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968, it was expanded to a month-long celebration in 1988. North Channel Library has a display set up featuring books by Latin American and Hispanic-American authors, such as Isabel Allende [3], Gary Soto [4], Sandra Cisneros [5]and Carlos Fuentes [6]. Check out our display--you may discover a new favorite author!
