The renovations to the Jacinto City Branch Library are moving along nicely. While last weekend’s rain was much needed, it slowed exterior work slightly, but we are happy to report that the foundation for the branch’s new, grant-funded meeting room has been poured and framing of the structure is well underway. Work on the interior of the existing structure is in progress and painting is almost complete.
HCPL will keep you informed as the work on the Jacinto City and South Houston Branches continues and as it begins on the Galena Park Branch. We thank you for your patience. We believe that the renovations will be worth the wait and will make the libraries even more valuable assets to their communities. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit one of our other nearby branches for your library needs.
