I don't know how to quilt, but I can certainly appreciate the skill it takes to make some of the quilts found in Lone Stars III: A Legacy of Texas Quilts, 1986-2011 [2]by Karoline Patterson Bresenhan and Nancy O'Bryant Puentes. You'll be surprised by how non-traditional & eye-popping they can be. Take a look at page 193 for the "Indy" (Indiana Jones [3]) quilt. And page 137 for the Kandinsky-esque [4]"Affinity".
