The USA LEGO Robotics Camp returns to Freeman Library this June on Saturdays (9, 16, 23 & 30). There will be two sessions of the camp each week: 1-2:30 pm or 3-4:30 pm. This free camp is designed for children 7-11 years old. It is sponsored by the United Space Alliance (USA) and the Friends of Freeman Library. The children learn math, science, and robotics concepts as they work in pairs to put together a LEGO project each week. The camp is led by a teacher who will be assisted by teen and adult volunteers.
Due to space limitations, a drawing will be held to fill the camp spots. Registration for the drawing begins this Saturday, May 19 and continues through Saturday, May 26. To register for the drawing, just a fill out an application and place it in the box at the Kids Information Desk. Applicants whose names are drawn will be notified by email or phone by Friday, June 1. The camp begins on Saturday, June 9. For questions about the camp, please call the Children's Department at 281-488-1906.
