Non-Fiction for African American History Month

February is African American History Month, a time dedicated to “paying tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship in American society” (africanamericanhistorymonth.gov. Last week it was all about fiction, so now we're moving on, to non-fiction. Regardless of age, there's somehting here for everyone. 

 

 

 

Get a Book Date for Valentine's Day!

Books will always love you and be there for you. It’s one of those comforting facts of life. In a lot of ways they’re better than people. I mean, they don’t wake you up in the night, they wait until you're ready for them, they don’t eat your food, and the list goes on. So, in recognition of that fact, we recommend that instead of making sure you have a date tonight, you should celebrate this Valentine’s Day right by visiting the library and getting a great book to read.
