Have you always wanted to know where your grandparents came from? Do you have a deep dark family secret that you want to research but don't know where to start? Do you like solving mysteries, then give genealogy a try. Our list of core genealogical reference tools was selected by genealogy librarians. If you're just getting started in genealogy, check out our beginner's guides. We also have suggestions for African-American, Hispanic, Jewish and Texas genealogy.
