Summer Fun at Aldine

Wow, we've been having some exciting Summer Reading Program activities at the Aldine Library! Between Mad Science nights and our weekly, Wednesday programs, we've been having fun for everyone. Here are photos of some recent events:

Robots and Other Great Things

This Monday, July 21st, at 1 pm we're exploring robots. We're going to talk about all the different uses for robots nowadays and we're going to make some simple drawing robots. We're going to imagine our own use for robots. Come and join us!

Ronald McDonald in the House

Ronald McDonald was at the Aldine Library on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 25th. Ronald told jokes, performed magic tricks, and had both children and adults laughing. It was a fun time for all. Stay tuned for all of our summer events with our handy online calendar!

A New Coat of Paint!

You may have seen our painters working around the building. The children's area inside is getting a fresh coat of paint and our outside "Library" sign is getting painted also. So the building will be looking great! Take time to look and enjoy it!

 

 

 

 

Mad Science Mondays at Aldine

Did you know that the Aldine Library has Mad Science Mondays during the summer? Every Monday night at 7 PM- in place of the Pajama Storytime- Angela Banks of 3G Youth Empowering Program presents a hands-on science activity for children. Check our online calendar for details. Don't miss out on the fun!

Ronald McDonald's Coming!

Every summer, our kids love to see Ronald McDonald coming. He tells corny jokes and does some magic. Most of all, he makes our kids laugh! So come see him, this Wed. at 3 pm in the children's area.

 

Summer at Aldine

Summer is well underway at the Aldine Library. Happy the Clown kicked off our programs on June 4th followed by a visit from NASA to discuss the International Space Station. Don't miss out on any of our exciting activities. Have you signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet? Prizes await those who complete their reading. It's a summer of fun at Aldine!


 

NASA at the Aldine Library!

Hey everyone! The Summer Reading Program is now underway. We have some exciting programs scheduled. On Monday, June 9th from 1-3 PM, the folks from NASA will be at the Aldine Library to talk to tweens and teens about life on a space station. Come see if you have the right stuff to be an astronaut! On Wednesday, June 9th at 3 PM, NASA will return to speak with children about life in space. Join us for these exciting events! Also, while you are here at the library, stop by and take a look at the model of the International Space Station on loan to us from NASA.

Zombies!

Do you have what it takes to survive the zombie apocalypse? Let's find out? We'll test our strategy and running for our life skills in the first part of the program. Then we'll head next door to the park for a competition between the zombies and the survivors! Who will win? Come and check it out on  Monday, June 2 at 3 pm.
