Adults, do you like to color? Has it been a while since you sat down with a coloring book? Join us at the Aldine Library on Wednesday of each week at 2 PM for Color Your World. Why color? It can help you relax. Also, coloring reduces stress and boosts mental clarity. Come join us. Feel calmer and happier each week as we color.

Second Chance Bank Account

Join us at the Aldine Library for a Houston Money Week 2016 presentation on Wednesday, April 13th at 6:30 PM. Time for a mystery?

C J Box has written a series of books about a forest park ranger and the people who come into his life.  You will be able to read all about the animals in the park both four legged and two legged.  It has humor and some dark areas.  It will keep you turning page after page and you will come to love Joe's family and friends.  This series has enough titles for your reading enjoyment of a long time.  It all started with "Open Season" and goes on with  15 more titles.  I like to read it in order because some things happen that may be spoiled with what you read in a future book.  His latest is "Off the Grid" featuring his best friend Nate Romanowski.  So come in and put a couple of his books on hold, or you may be lucky enough to find the one you need on the shelf.

What's Going On at the Aldine Library?

Visitors to the Aldine Library will notice some flyers on the front door advertising some upcoming events at the branch. What's going on? Spring Break is fast approaching!

Teens, do you need community service hours? Are you at least 16 years of age? Are you reliable, responsible, and punctual? We are seeking volunteers to help out at the library the week of March 14th - 19th.

We are also having two special events for teenagers during the week of Spring Break. On Wednesday, March 16th from 2-3 PM we are having a job search skills seminar for teens entitled "When I Grow Up." On Thursday March 17th from 2-3 PM is a Food Wars Cupcake Challenge for teens and tweens. Design a cupcake based on a book. Sign up at the information desk. Supplies will be provided.

New Adult Coloring Program

Come join us in April for our relaxing and fun time doing something we all love.

On Wednesday, April 6th at 2 pm, we will be starting an adult coloring club.

The library will be furnishing all supplies, just show up, relax and color.

Don't plan on getting the page done in one setting because they are complex and create a beautiful page.

Keep watching, I will color a page and post if for all to see.
