Autumn is Approaching

The heat wave has diminished, kids are back in school, and football season is around the corner. Autumn is approaching. Stay tuned to our Aldine branch library online calendar for the latest on upcoming events during the months of September and October. A Fall Festival for kids, free haircuts for children, and some tasty treats for adults are on the horizon. Don't miss out.

Book a Haircut at Aldine Library!

The Aldine Library is teaming up with Greenspoint Barber College to offer FREE haircuts once a month. There's just one catch: kids have to read a story while they get their haircuts.  For more information about the Book-a-Haircut program, including dates & times, see the information desk.

Teen Hangs starts again

Yes, Maggie has moved to the state of Washington.  However her teen hangs is still going to happen in the fall.  So on the first day of school, August 24th come join us in the meeting room.  The staff at Aldine Library will try to carry on using the same style and traditions that Maggie created.  See you there!

Thanks for a Job Well Done

We have had a super summer here at the Aldine Library. A superb team of volunteers have tirelessly been working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth library operation.  On Friday, July 24th, we hosted a lunch to honor our dedicated teen volunteers. Thanks for a job well done, guys! We appreciate all of your time and effort this summer.

Round VII Super Hero Championship: Marvel finalists!

Alright y'all we're getting to the end of our super hero championship! All summer the Aldine Branch Library has been voting to decide who will be our champion super hero. This week we are voting between our finalists from Marvel, so Deadpool vs Thor vs Ms. Marvel. To find voting ballots please go to the back of library, in the teen area by the corner with the windows you will find a book display with this weeks heroes (feel free to check out a comic too!) and the ballots will be there for you, bring a ballot for the hero you're voting for to the front desk.

You can vote online too in the county wide championship, but since we're in the finalist rounds you will be voting between different heroes.
